I have been a nurse for 15 years. Two very opposite and amazing girls & a sweet pup call me Mom. My hobbies are attempting to grow things, crafts & cooking. As a child, I wanted two things when I grew up: 1) to be a farmer’s wife & 2) to be a missionary. I am far from a farmer’s wife, but we do have chickens & a garden…so that’s close-ish. As far as being a missionary goes, I have not travelled to far off lands and embraced the language & culture in effort to show God’s love to others. Nope. I have stayed home. In the past, I worked as a camp counselor at a Christian summer camp (long, long ago) & taught Sunday school. Most recently, I am enjoying learning more about God and the life He desires for me to live. I do believe that my mission field is at home - homeschooling – as instructed by God.

Chronicles of Narnia Literature and Bible Study


Course Description:

Monday: 12:30 P.M. - 1:25 P.M.

Description: Description: We will be diving into the first three books in the Narnia series (The Magician’s Nephew, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and The Horse and His Boy) learning literature & Biblical studies. Explore the Biblical parallels and principles given to us in the imaginary world of Narnia written by one of the greatest Christian apologists, who grew up as an atheist, C. S. Lewis. There will be weekly homework to include reading and a required project worked on throughout the year. We will also discuss and identify many literary terms & discover new vocabulary words as we read these novels.

Although it is not required and either class may be taken independently, students are encouraged to take this class with IEW Following Narnia for a richer learning experience to include writing and grammar.

Supplies Needed: 3 ring binder, your Bible, a dictionary
