Katharine Smith

I'm so excited to meet you! My name is Katharine Smith, I live in Powhatan, Virginia on a small farm called "Rocka-doodle" with my husband of 28 years, 18 year old son, 15 chickens, 3 cats, and 2 precious dogs. My son adores lacrosse and is looking to graduate this year, my daughter is a Graphics Designer at Liberty University, and my Son-In-Love is an electric assembler. I graduated with a BFA in Arts Education Pre-K-12 from VCU in 1996, and since then I have worked in multiple vocations including as a professional photographer, a Job Coach for adults with Intellectual Disabilities, and currently I am a Service Facilitator and a small business artist and co-owner (Dare To Wood & Works, LLC). My life, while varied, has always been built on three things- finding something new in each day, constant learning, and creative problem solving and ART has given me the skills for these. I am passionate about each person finding their voice from our Creator, and my life Verse Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men", provides my drive and craftsmanship.
