Diana Seward

Hello! My name is Diana Seward. I am a homeschooling mom of five, although my oldest is a sophomore in college, and the next is graduating this May 2024. I have an English degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a Master of Divinity in Women’s Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. While I was working on my masters, I completed the Teacher Certification coursework for secondary English teaching in North Carolina. I never completed my student teaching for full certification, but I’ve taught English language arts and history in multiple places, including my children at home, for the past 19 years. I’ve worked in banking institutions as well and, at my last credit union, I specifically helped members with financial planning. My dad was an incredible money manager, and I attribute everything I know to his guidance and genius. I look forward to passing on his money tips to a younger generation ensuring that our kids will graduate high school with those vital real-world finance skills.

I grew up in church and knew a lot about God from an early age. I realized at 15 that even though I had a good knowledge of God, I did not really know Him personally. I chose to follow Christ that day and have been serving Him ever since. I love helping students learn the art of writing and develop the motivation to express themselves well. I am also an avid reader and enjoy discussing great literature anytime!
